Application Process
Application process is divided into four parts. Each part is detailed below. To start the process, fill out the eligbility Screening Form.
Part One: Initial Application Process. This takes place once the teacher passed the eligibility screening and prior to the normal application review. It involves an in-depth application and interview process to create customized and impressive profiles for each teacher accepted into the program. These profiles are then shared with interested host schools. To create the profile, we collect resumes, an in-depth interview, sample lesson plans, background check certifications, testing results, and other materials to ensure our teachers' success in finding a suitable host school.
Part Two: Normal Application Review. After creating the teacher's profile and preparation for interviews, profiles are submitted to host schools to obtain an interview schedule.
Part Three: J-1 Teacher Visa Program Sponsor Application. After accepting a job offer from a host school, OvGuro will submit teacher's documents to a visa sponsor. The visa sponsor will have a separate screening process and fees.
Part Four: Pre-Arrival Orientation and Transition. After passing the US embassy interview, OvGuro will send a checklist of documents and things to bring. Provide transition assistance from arrival in the US, processing official documents and IDs, and other living assistance on the first six to twelve months.
